Let's get your summer holiday on the road.

Hyundai’s DIY Tips for Road Trips.

Does your summer holiday plan include driving to those special places you’ve always wanted to visit? This season before you head off, scroll through our DIY Tips for Road Trips below to help make sure you’re Road Trip Ready.

Trip: Coastal.
Tip: Check tyres & spare.

Driving with the right pressure improves handling, safety and fuel economy. You’ll find the tyre pressure recommendation on the plate inside the door frame, as well as in your vehicle’s owner’s manual. It’s also important you check the tread for wear and replace any tyres where the tread is less than 1.5mm deep.

Trip: Beach.
Tip: Wind shield washer.

If you plan on driving your vehicle at or around the beach, it’s a good idea to keep your windscreen clean so you can clearly see both the beautiful view and a safe path ahead. A clean windscreen further helps to improve your safety on long trips or at sunset but especially when contending with external factors like salt & sand. As a safeguard, keep a spare bottle handy of Hyundai ‘windscreen washer liquid’, available from your local Hyundai dealer.

Trip: Boating.
Tip: Towing.

If you plan on towing[H1] your Boat or Jet Ski to your favorite water location this summer, it’s a good idea to check the brake lights and indicators are working, and that it’s hitched correctly to your tow bar. You can always double check your vehicle’s maximum towing and down ball capacity by referring to your owner’s manual for specific weight ratings and load bearing recommendations.
