Forward_Collision-Avoidance_Assist_Icon.svg

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) – Car and Pedestrian.

The front radar sensor and windshield-mounted camera detect and monitor vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists in front of you. If a potential collision is detected, you’ll receive audible and visual warnings, and your brakes may be applied too.
Available on the Active, Active X, Elite & Highlander variants.
Smart_Cruise_Control_Icon.svg

Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go.

Detects the speed and distance of vehicles ahead of you, and maintains a safe distance from them. In stop/start traffic, it will automatically bring you to a stop when appropriate, then automatically accelerate back up to the original set speed.
Available on the Active, Active X, Elite & Highlander variants.
Lane_Keeping_Assist_Icon.svg

Lane Keeping Assist (LKA).

At speeds of +60 km/h, if your Santa Fe detects that it’s straying out of its lane without its indicators being activated, an audible and visual alert will be triggered.
Available on the Active, Active X, Elite & Highlander variants.
Blindspot_Collision_Avoidance_Assist_Icon.svg

Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW).

Radar sensors on the rear bumper will alert you to vehicles next to and diagonally behind you, in case you haven’t already noticed them.
Available on the Active, Active X, Elite & Highlander variants.
Rear_Cross-Traffic_Collision-Avoidance_Assist_Icon.svg

Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning.

Keeps an eye out for vehicles approaching from either side of you when you’re reversing out of a perpendicular parking space. If it detects them, audible and visual warnings will activate.
Available on the Active, Active X, Elite & Highlander variants.
High_Beam_Assist_Icon.svg

High Beam Assist (HBA).

Scans the road ahead for lights, then automatically adjusts headlamp range, switching between high and low beam.
Available on the Active, Active X, Elite & Highlander variants.
Advanced_Smart_Parking_Assist_System.svg

Advanced Smart Parking Assist System.

What could be more convenient than a steering assist system that helps manoeuvre in and out of parking spots? Simply select ‘Reverse Parking (90o)’, ‘Parallel Parking’ or 'Parallel Exit’ mode and let your vehicle do the rest.
Available only on Highlander variant.
Rear_Occupant_Alert_Icon.svg

Rear Occupant Alert.

Utilises a rear door logic where the system detects occupants entering via the rear doors opening and closing. Once it detects the rear doors to have been opened & closed, ROA issues an audible warning chime and prompts the driver with a visual warning message to "check rear seats", displayed in the instrument cluster upon opening the front door after parking.
Rear Occupant Alert – Advanced, available only on the Elite & Highlander variants, will send out an alert signal if it detects someone is still in the car after it’s been switched off and the doors locked.
Available on the Active, Active X, Elite & Highlander variants.
Safe_Exit_Assist_Icon.svg

Safe Exit Assist.

The system detects any oncoming vehicles approaching from the rear and alerts you that it may be dangerous for passengers to exit. And if the child safety lock is activated, the SEA system will prevent that door from being opened.
Available only on Elite and Highlander variants.
Driver_Attention_Warning_Icon.svg

Driver Attention Warning (DAW).

If the system detects erratic steering, sudden braking or an inability to stay within your lane, driving alerts will appear on your screen. Based on how long you’ve been driving, it may also recommend you take a break.
Available on the Active, Active X, Elite & Highlander variants.
Surround_View_Monitor_Icon.svg

Surround View Monitor.

This gives you an animated bird’s eye view of your Santa Fe's surroundings, making it easier to park in tight spaces. Rear View Mode lets you see what’s behind you when luggage or equipment is blocking your line of sight.
Available only on the Highlander variant.

Santa Fe Highlander vs. Mazda CX-9 Azami

Winner of AWD SUV $55,000-$70,000 category: Santa Fe Highlander.

“The judges were impressed with how Hyundai has built on the positives of its popular predecessor, with larger dimensions in almost all areas, a notable lift in interior space and comfort, and more safety tech. Video overview.
The Loh family.
The Buchanan family.
The Lumsden-Keys family.
The Mein family.
The Ryan family.

Watch the SANTA FE in action.

Take this quick sightseeing tour that visits all the key features of the award-winning, family-pleasing Santa Fe SUV.

The Loh Family.

Over a month-long trip, the Loh family head to the beach and drive to a national park. Their adventures in the Santa Fe demonstrate the suitability of the car on either road trips, or in daily life.

The Buchanan Family.

Venturing down from Queensland, the young family of four spent nights by the campfire on a farm in northern New South Wales. Moving on to the picturesque Stradbroke Island, and finally ending up in the beachside town of Noosa.

The winding roads and space and comfort of the Santa Fe were no match for the young Buchanan girls, who were often found napping safe and sound in the back.

Lumsden-Keys Family.

The Lumsden-Keys family managed to pack a lot into their road trip! They took the Santa Fe outback, taking on snow in Victoria, and stopping in country towns in New South Wales along the way – including a visit to the Western Plains Taronga Zoo.

The numbers say it all, with more than 4892 km travelled, and almost 71 hours of driving!

The Mein Family.

The Mein family includes Haley and Al, Molly, Bella and Immy. The girls are a bit older than the children in the other videos, which is why watching them play in the boot, enjoy the panoramic glass sunroof, and sit comfortably three-across in the back (two of them in booster seats) shows just how spacious the Santa Fe is.

The Ryan Family.

The family heads to Townsville, Paluma and lots of places in between. With three young children, the panoramic glass sunroof of the Santa Fe allowed for constant entertainment and intrigue for the children, with the odd pit stop to have a dance!
