Automated manual transmission.

The five-gear automated manual transmission (AMT) does the shifting for you, delivering the easy and relaxed driving of an automatic transmission but with higher efficiency. This is thanks to its lighter weight and reduced friction compared to a traditional automatic transmission.

  1. Better fuel efficiency.

Enjoy reduced fuel consumption thanks to electronically optimized shift points and high mechanical efficiency. No power is lost due to inefficient shifts.

  2. More convenience and comfort.

Nice and easy. Clutch and shift actions are done for you automatically. No more hassle with having to constantly work the clutch pedal and gear shifter in traffic.

  3. Drive it how you like it.

Feel like taking control and shifting gears yourself? No problem, manual shift mode lets you pick your individual driving style – without having to work a clutch.

    5- speed manual transmission.

The smooth-shifting 5-speed manual transmission is designed for fast, precise gearshifts.

More energy for better fuel efficiency with ERS.

i10’s Energy Regeneration System (ERS) captures kinetic energy created by forward motion and powers your car with it. When you take your foot off the accelerator and coast in gear, the system transforms kinetic energy into electricity and stores it in the battery. When accelerating, ERS uses this electricity to power the car’s electrical systems, easing the load on the motor and increasing fuel efficiency.
