Delivering what matters: Performance, Refinement and Quality
The use of a thoroughly modern diesel engine gives H-1 a lively performance, some excellent fuel economy returns and low emissions levels. The vehicle features a 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission and, for optimum weight distribution and dynamic balance, a front-mounted engine powering the rear wheels. It has a structurally robust and reliable body / chassis unit, suspension that can cope with almost everything, electronics to control stability and braking, and front airbags for the front seat occupants.
2.5 CRDi diesel engine with VGT
Maximum output of 170 ps at 3,600 rpm and maximum torque of 45 kg.m at 2,000~2,250 rpm
Hyundai’s Variable geometry turbo technology ensures that 2.5 diesel engine really performs. Also, the 2.5l intercooler turbo diesel engine allows for both excellent fuel economy and good performance.
The suspension is a remarkably flexible design. It is sufficiently robust to cope when the vehicle is fully laden, yet remains compliant enough to provide the occupants with a comfortable ride whatever the load – or road.
Maneuver made easy
Tight spaces in city centers or on country backroads are no problem for H-1 driver. Despite having a length of more than 5m, the vehicle’s turning circle is no more than 5.6m.
Large and powerful 16″ disc brakes are available on the rear wheels as well as those on the front. They provide the high level of stopping performance required when a wagon or van is fully laden.
Safe at speed
H-1 stays true around tricky bends and under braking thanks to its Electronic stability control (ESC) and Anti-lock brake system (ABS). These sophisticated systems overcome tyre slip, wheel spin and locking brakes.
