• Super Performer Brand: Elite i20 adjudged with the “Indian Car of the Year 2015” and the winner of 5 “Car of the Year awards”
 

Feb. 16, 2015 - Hyundai Motor India Ltd., India’s leading car manufacturer and the largest passenger car exporter has been honored with the range of prestigious awards for the trendsetter products like Elite i20, Xcent as and Santa Fe for the year 2014-15. Earning the country's most prestigious automotive award Indian Car of the Year 2015 (ICOTY) for Elitei20, Hyundai Motor becomes the only auto brand to win two consecutive ICOTY awards.  The award symbolizes Hyundai Motor’s commitment to Indian customers by offering world class standards of quality products, design and experience.
 
The adulation for brand Hyundai saw the company win as many as 32 prestigious awards from the country’s leading automotive media. The awards have been instituted by the most eminent jury of all the prominent automotive publications in the country like Top Gear, AutoCar, Motoring World, Car India, Zigwheels, Overdrive, Auto Bild, AutoX, Hindu Business Line, NDTV, EVO, Motorbeam, Vikatan Group, Flywheel and Car Dekho. Earmarking 2014 as the Year of Excellence, Hyundai Motor India had set record sales in 2014 at over 4.10 lakh units driven by growth across segments like the Grand i10, Xcent, Santa Fe and recently launched Elite i20.

As a commitment to the Indian market, Hyundai launched the Elite i20 within 5 months of the successful launch of Xcent and Santa Fe improving the domestic volumes and increasing market share. Earlier, Hyundai Grand also received strong customer and media response making it the Indian Car of the Year in the year 2014. The Elite i20 has a strong fan following and is seen as “Elite companion”. Hyundai’s signature design language, the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 has captured the attention of customers and has created a new design benchmark in the segment, setting a trend of future cars that Hyundai is making for global markets.
 
Hyundai Xcent with its premium features and stylish design has made its mark amongst the first time buyers of compact sedan, up-graders and additional car buyers. Xcent has generated high interest level amidst the young families in metros as well as Tier II cities.
