February 12, 2016 – Hyundai Motor’s Tucson was recognized as the Best Compact SUV for the Money by U.S. News & World Report. In the crowded SUV segment, the Tucson took top honors for its outstanding value and critical acclaim.

“By receiving this top honor from the trusted U.S. News & World Report, Tucson shows Hyundai Motor is delivering bold style, convenience and safety, all at an outstanding value,” said Brandon Ramirez, Senior Group Manager of Product Planning at Hyundai Motor America. “Hyundai Motor will continue engineering vehicles with advanced technology and safety features while delivering high value with an exceptional driving experience.”

Best Cars evaluates vehicles on quality and value data within 23 categories. The vehicle with the highest score is named Best Car for the Money in that category. Value is measured by a vehicle’s five-year total cost of ownership and the average price paid for the vehicle.

“Consumers know Hyundai Motor as a value brand,” said Jamie Page Deaton, managing editor of the U.S. News Best Car rankings. “The Tucson’s Best Compact SUV for the Money win, however, shows that it’s an SUV that offers not only great value but also one of the best ownership experiences in the class.”
