Last month, Hyundai donated two mobile clinic vans for the Ghana Ministry of Public Health in Accra, the country’s capital city, through Auto Plaza Limited, the only officially recognized distribution company in Ghana.
The donation was made as part of Hyundai’s mobile clinic campaign in the region that began in 2009. The company has donated mobile clinic vans to other countries in the region as well, including Ethiopia, Congo, Nigeria, Ghana, and Rwanda, fulfilling part of the social responsibilities it bears as a leading international automaker. Mr. Jihad Hijazi, CEO of Auto Plaza Limited, said in his speech at the day’s donation ceremony: “Public health is one of the most important issues facing the development agenda of all progressive countries. It is therefore only natural for governments of these countries to secure as much support for public health as possible.”
