Hyundai Motor’s “Mobility for food bank” continues in giving for a second year.

  • Jeddah, KSA. April 9 – Hyundai Motor Company Africa and Middle East HQ and the Saudi Western agent, Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors Co. has announced, for the second year in a row, the continuation of the “Mobility for Food Bank” initiative with The Saudi Food Bank (Eta’am). This initiative is a hand-by-hand effort with Dar Al Hekma University in Jeddah directed toward the Saudi Kingdom's remote residents, to deliver food packages in the holy month of Ramadan.

Launched from Dar Al Hekma University halls, the initiative officially started with the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding by the Saudi Food Bank (Eta’am) and Hyundai Motor Company, to provide a framework of cooperation to execute the Hyundai 2023 CSV campaign ‘Hyundai Continue’.

This year, Hyundai Motor has followed a new direction in involving young talents from volunteering students, to directly participating in a design competition to design donation Food boxes for UAE and KSA, following the selected message for the ‘Hyundai Continue’ campaign concept and including them in the donation food box. The design of the person who received the most likes was printed on the food boxes. This idea came to promote a sense of localized messages through designs tailored to local sentiment and culture.

The event was successfully activated with the support of Dar Al Hekma University’s students, as they volunteered the preparation of 650 boxes of food packages to be distributed in each city, to reach a total of 1,950 boxes in KSA. Hyundai Motor Company has supported the reach to rural areas and isolated beneficiaries by handing over a group of vehicles including Staria and HD65 trucks, 1 unit of HD65 Trucks was donated to three cities to load the packages and deliver them to the Labor and families supported by food banks and NGOs. Staria was also present in the launching campaign of the “Mobility for food bank” initiative started last year.

As a part of Hyundai’s commitment to its responsibility as a mobility solution provider, Hyundai's concept of mobility is not only defined by offering these solutions for customers but acceded to think of ways to expand the impact and achieve "sustainable mobility" by utilizing these solutions for good and connect to the remote people in the region, to get closer and connected in times of uncertainty to create an atmosphere of solidarity within Hyundai’s people.
