  • Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)

LKAS uses camera sensor to continuously monitor the lane markings on the roadway. If I depart my traffic lane without a prior lane change signal, LKAS will activate steering assist to prevent lane departure and keep me safely within my intended lane. It will also automatically issue audible and visual alerts.

  • Blind Spot Detection (BSD)

BSD acts as a second pair of eyes watching out for my safety. Not only does it alert me to the presence of a vehicle in the blind spot, BSD also scans for the presence of cross traffic behind me when I'm in reverse gear.

  • Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB)

Widely hailed as one of the most important advancements in automotive safety, AEB monitors the vehicle ahead and automatically applies the brakes to bring IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid to a safe stop thus minimizing the risk of a collision. AEB includes pedestrian detection capabilities.

  • Smart Cruise Control (SCC)

This feature helps me maintain a pre-set speed for effortless cruising and it helps avoid speeding violations while improving fuel economy. A light touch on the brake pedal deactivates the system.
