The brake operation is also assisted, if necessary. The speed and distance to a car in front as set by the driver are maintained. When a car in front stops and restarts within three seconds, this function automatically restarts the car and resumes control on the speed and distance to the car in front. When a car in front restarts after three seconds, an alert sound to inform the departure of the car in front is issued together with a message.
  • Lane keeping and departure avoidance assist/ highway driving assist/ high-beam assist
Lane keeping and departure avoidance assist/ highway driving assist/ high-beam assist The camera at the front recognizes the lane and controls the steering wheel to keep the car driving along the middle of the lane and prevents lane departure. In the case of lane departure, an alert sound is issued to help the driver focus on safe driving. For driving on the highway, these functions are used to keep a safe distance to the cars in front and also assist the car to drive along the middle of the lane. For nighttime driving, the high beams are automatically changed to down lighting for the safety of other drivers.
Rear collision avoidance assist/ rear cross traffic collision avoidance assist This is a function used to issue a warning when vehicles approach from the blind spot or the back of the car, which cannot be checked with outer mirrors. When the car deviates from its lane or a risk of collision with vehicles on the sides or from the rear is detected, the electronic stability control function controls the wheels in order to prevent a collision. When a driver backs out the car from a parking spot, the rear radar detects vehicles approaching from the side or back of the car and sends a warning signal to the driver. If necessary, it assists the brake operation to prevent a collision and reduces the risk of accidents.
