Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These terms of use ("Terms of Use") apply to the use of Hyundai Bluelink ("Services") provided by Hyundai Mobility (Thailand) Co., Ltd. , incorporated and registered in Thailand whose registered office is at 388 Exchange Tower, Level 18, Unit 1801, 1802, 1804 Sukhumvit Rd., Klongtoey, Klongtoey Bangkok ("Hyundai"; "we"; "us"; "our") to the user of the Services ("User" or "you").
These Terms of Use are the agreement between you and us regarding our provision of the Services.
You can find the applicable Terms of Use at any time in the menu of the application of the Services.

2. Use of the Services

2.1.) To use the Services described in Section 3, you must:
a) Activate Hyundai Bluelink on your vehicle
b) Download the application “Bluelink” in the Google Play Store or Apple App Store depending on your respective mobile device
c) Agree to these Terms of Use
d) Create your own Hyundai Bluelink account in the application by signing in with your email address, a password, which you have chosen for your Hyundai Bluelink account, your name and your birthday
e) Insert your phone number and verify your number with a 6-digits verification code that will be sent to your phone number via SMS
f) Create a 4-digits pin for your own Hyundai Bluelink account
g) Add your Hyundai vehicle by entering vehicle identification number (VIN) (Scan QR Code on infotainment system) and verify your VIN by entering an activation code that will be sent to your vehicle’s infotainment system.

2.2.) Services will only be available for vehicles which are Hyundai Bluelink ready, and which can be connected to the app.

2.3.) If you have forgotten your email or password for logging into your Hyundai Bluelink account, then you can click on “Forget your email or password?” link in the application.

2.4.) The purchase agreement of the vehicle and the agreement concerning the provision of the Services in accordance with these Terms of Use are legally separate agreements. Unless indicated otherwise in these Terms of Use, the performance of one of the agreements shall have no implications on the respective other agreement. In certain circumstances, this may result in the User effectively purchasing the vehicle without being able to use the Services.

2.5.) The Services are linked to your vehicle and cannot be received in or transferred to another vehicle.

2.6.) You will be able to deactivate and reactivate the Services at any time through your application.

3. Bluelink Services

3.1) App
3.1.1.) Remote Services:
This document is legally protected as confidential information of Hyundai Motor Group and is subject to non- disclosure agreements with you and applicable laws.
A). Push notifications
Once enabled, Bluelink push notifications will provide you with the following information:
- Stolen vehicle notification
- Door open
- Window open
- High voltage battery discharge alarm
- Engine idling alarm
- Rear seat alert
- V2L Start/ Completed
- AC/DC Charging Started
Services may not be available depending on the vehicle model.
B). Remote lock and unlock
When you forgot to lock your car, Bluelink will let you know by sending a push notification to your smartphone. Then, after entering your PIN, you can lock or unlock your vehicle using a button in the Bluelink app from all over the world.
C). Remote engine start and stop
Turn on or turn off the car engine through the Bluelink app on your smartphone. You can set the engine running and setting the climate control for 2-10 minutes before you get in the car.

D). Remote light and light-horn control
You can spot your car by using Bluelink app to flash the hazard light and blow the horn for 30 seconds.
E). Remote open and close window
You can remotely open or close window through Bluelink app.

F). Remote window ventilation mode
You can activate window ventilation mode through Bluelink app.
Services may not be available depending on the vehicle model.
G). Remote charging
Remote charging allows you to remotely start or stop your charging. To use remote charging just tap start or stop charging on Bluelink app. Remote stop charging is possible during any charging sessions.

H). Remote open and close charging door
Allows you to remotely open or close your charging port through Bluelink app.
Services may not be available depending on the vehicle model.
I). Remote start & stop conditioning
Allows you to optimize battery temperature for improved driving and charging performance through Bluelink app. This feature can only be used when the vehicle is off, and the battery temperature needs to be optimized.

J). Scheduled charging & climate control
This convenience feature allows you to set up a charging schedule tailored to your needs. On top of this, you can set up a target temperature for the beginning of your next trip.

K). Remote climate control
Allows you to pre-condition your car whenever you want. Just set up a target temperature and start remote climate control before you get in the car. For your convenience, you can also activate the windscreen defogger, side mirror heating, rear window heating, and set the temperature of passenger or driver seat.

L). Find my car
Function to localize the parking position of the Hyundai vehicle on the integrated map.
M). Send to car
The Bluelink app allows you to search for destinations while you are on your sofa. Then, syncs with your navigation system, loading the route so that it is ready to go when you are. Simply get in and press go.

N). My car POI
My car POI is to synchronize the stored POIs (points of interest) like 'Home' or 'Work address' between the Infotainment system and your Bluelink app.

O). Last mile navigation
You might have to park your car somewhere before you reach your actual destination. If you are within 200 meters up to 3 kilometers, you can hand over the navigation from your car to the Bluelink app. Your smartphone will then guide you exactly to where you want to go.

P). Final destination guidance
From parking till the final destination, guidance is available from Bluelink App.
Q). EV service
EV Service provides you information about the performance of your EV vehicle and helps you optimize and increase the efficiency of using your EV vehicle through:
- Set Charging Limit
Charging will end when the defined charge limit is reached.
- V2L Electricity Use
Set limit for using the V2L. Limits can be set in the range of 20%-80%
- Charging Completion Alarm
You can set the alarm notification period to be sent in 10, 20, or 30 minutes before charging is complete.

R). Valet parking mode
The valet parking mode protects your private Infotainment information when you give your car keys to another person. Once the service is activated on your Infotainment system, the driver can see only the valet mode screen. The valet parking mode also provides the following information in your Bluelink app:
- Drive start and end
- Driving distance
- Driving time
- Top speed
You can disable the valet parking mode using your password in your Infotainment system or your Bluelink app.
S). Battery charging status
Battery charging status provides the following information in your Bluelink app:
- Charging port connection status
- Battery level
- Scheduled charging status
- Scheduled climate control status
Services may not be available depending on the vehicle model.
T). User profile setting
User can upload self-portrait for profile picture from album or camera, adjust vehicle settings in applications related to sound settings, display settings, buttons/touchpads, general settings, vehicle settings, device connection settings as well as view/delete active self-portrait of driver profiles via Bluelink app.
Services may not be available depending on the vehicle model.

3.1.2.) Vehicle status information via Bluelink:
A). Vehicle report
The vehicle report provides information about the usage and diagnostics of your Hyundai vehicle. You can also check the status of the most important control units like airbag, brakes, tire pressure etc.
B). Status update
Through the Bluelink app we will provide you with following vehicle status information:
- Distance to empty
- Fuel level
- Engine on/off
- Door lock status
- Air condition on/off
- Tailgate open/close
- Bonnet open/close status
- Window open/close
- Sunroof open/close status (if only the sunshade is open, the status display is close)
- 12 V battery status
- High voltage battery status
- Battery charging status
- View around my vehicle (allows you to take pictures around the vehicle using the vehicle's 360 camera via the Bluelink app. The image displays on the top view, front view, right view, back view, left view).

C). My trips
My trips provide information about your vehicle usage per day or per month. You can check for each trip your time driven, mileage, average speed and your top speed.

3.1.3.) Car Sharing:
A). Share my car
You can share the Services with one or more other users through the “Share Car” function in the Bluelink app. If you use the “Share Car” function you will share the Services and data related to your Hyundai vehicle which you registered in the Bluelink app. To use the shared Services the other user must take the steps described in Section 2.1 above. You can at any time stop sharing the Services by removing any other user under the settings “Manage to share car”. We will then delete all shared data on the other user's Bluelink app.
B). Request to share car
You can request other Bluelink users to share the Services and data related to their Hyundai vehicle in the Bluelink app through the “Request to Share Car” function in the Bluelink app.

Additional features not listed herein may be introduced through software updates.
Any personal data collected, used, or provided in connection with such additional features shall be limited to a scope comparable to that applicable to the features described herein.

3.2.) Vehicle infotainment system
A). Weather
View local weather information based on your current location directly on the infotainment screen. Use this feature to check weather conditions before and during your trip. Helps support better trip planning and driving decisions.

B). Voice Command
Control various infotainment functions using voice commands without touching the screen.
Services may not be available depending on the vehicle model.
C). Vehicle Diagnostics
You may view information regarding the condition of your vehicle, including detected system issues.
D). Connected Routing
Use navigation services with enhanced route calculation based on real-time traffic information.
Services may not be available depending on the vehicle model.
E). Wireless Update (OTA)
Wireless Update allows to provide the latest maps and software updates to your vehicle via OTA (Over-The-Air) technology through the infotainment system without visiting a service center. Software updates may be downloaded and installed when available. Certain vehicle functions may be temporarily unavailable during installation.
Services may not be available depending on the vehicle or smartphone model.
F). Bluelink User Profile
Create and manage user profiles to store personalized vehicle settings. This includes preferences related to audio, display, and other configurable features. Multiple user profiles may be supported depending on the vehicle model.

G). Notification Centre
Receive notifications and alerts related to your vehicle through the infotainment system. You may also manage notification settings within the system where such options are available.
H). Calendar
Sync your calendar to view schedules and upcoming events in your vehicle. Access your daily agenda conveniently while on the go. Helps you stay organized and manage your time efficiently.

Additional features not listed herein may be introduced through software updates.
Any personal data collected, used, or provided in connection with such additional features shall be limited to a scope comparable to that applicable to the features described herein.

4. Copyright/Intellectual Property

4.1.) The entire content of the Services is the property of Hyundai Motor Company, its direct or indirect subsidiaries (hereinafter referred to collectively as "Hyundai Motor Group") or third parties. All rights in the Services, the underlying software, the content and arrangement are owned by Hyundai Motor Group and its licensors. You must not sell, distribute, publish, broadcast, circulate or commercially exploit the Services in any manner without our express written consent. You may not reproduce (in whole or part), transmit (by electronic means or otherwise), modify, display, redeliver, license, link or otherwise use the Services for any public or commercial purpose without our prior permission.

4.2.) Nothing in these Terms of Use shall be construed as granting a license or right to:
A). use any image, trademark, service mark or logo, all of which are the property of Hyundai Motor Group. Hyundai Motor Group reserves all rights with respect to its proprietary information or material in connection with the Services and will enforce such rights to the full extent of applicable copyright and trademark law.
B). rent, lease, sub-license, loan, provide, or otherwise make available, Hyundai Bluelink or the Services in any form, in whole or in part to any person without prior written consent from us.
C). copy the Hyundai Bluelink or Services, except as part of the normal use of the Hyundai Bluelink or where it is necessary for the purpose of back-up or operational security.
D). translate, merge, adapt, vary, alter or modify, the whole or any part of the Hyundai Bluelink or Services nor permit Hyundai Bluelink or the Services or any part of them to be combined with, or become incorporated in, any other programs, except as necessary to use Hyundai Bluelink and the Services on devices as permitted in these Terms of Use.
E). disassemble, de-compile, reverse engineer or create derivative works based on the whole or any part of Hyundai Bluelink Services.

5. User Obligations

5.1.) You are solely responsible for any use of the Hyundai Bluelink Services in your vehicle, even if you are not the driver. You agree to use the Services only in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws. You must not use the Services for any unlawful purpose or facilitate any third party to do so.

5.2.) In particular, make sure that:
You are obligated to comply with applicable law and respect the rights of third parties when using the Services.
You must not use the Services for unlawful purposes or facilitate that third parties use the Services for unlawful purposes.
You must not alter your vehicle (including hardware and software changes as well as use of third-party software) in such way that the functionality of the Services may be affected.
You must not willfully disrupt the Services by any means.

5.3.) In addition, you must not misuse the Services and abide by the obligations set out as follows:
You must not use the SIM card built into the vehicle’s infotainment system used for the provision of the Services: (i) for the transmission of voice (including VOIP); (ii) to access a publicly addressable destination (i.e. public IP address) including through the use of a proxy, gateway or routing; (iii) in any way that attempts to penetrate security measures whether or not the intrusion results in the corruption or loss of data; (iv) in any way that uses the Services or software related to internet relay chat, peer to peer file sharing, bit torrent, or proxy server network; (v) in a way that involves spamming, the sending of bulk unsolicited emails or commercial messages or maintaining an open SMTP relay; or (vi) in any way that causes the network to be impaired.
You must not publish any results of any benchmark or performance tests of the built- in SIM card, the network, the Services, or component thereof to any third parties.

5.4.) You will have to bear any costs caused by a misuse of the Services which is the result of your breach of the aforementioned obligations.
5.5.) In case of sale or permanent transfer of the vehicle to a third party, we recommend to you to ensure that Hyundai Bluelink is deactivated in the on-board menu. Please note that by deactivating Hyundai Bluelink in the on-board menu, your driving data will no longer be visible in the application and your vehicle is disconnected from the application. Please be informed that your account data in the application will not be deleted unless there is prior request from you.

5.6.) You obliged to read, learn, understand and conduct all Terms of Use which has been submitted by us.

6. Network Speed/Availability

6.1.) The provision of Services is done via a built-in vehicle SIM card. The Services are therefore territorially limited to the reception and transmission range of the radio stations operated by the respective network operator and can be affected by atmospheric, topographic conditions, the position of the vehicle and obstacles such as buildings. In addition, the provision of the Services requires the functionality and operational readiness of the required mobile network of the built-in SIM card. Location accuracy and service quality depend on factors outside our control, including your mobile device settings, telecom provider coverage, and GPS signal availability. We are not responsible for service failures or location inaccuracies caused by these external factors or by limitations in GPS technology.

6.2.) The wireless phone number assigned to your vehicle’s system does not belong to you, and we may change it at any time without notice. You understand that your agreement is with Hyundai, not with the mobile network provider (the "Carrier"). The Carrier is not responsible for the Hyundai Bluelink Services and carries no liability to you for any issues, claims, or damages related to the use of these services.

6.3.) The 4G/LTE services (provided by an external service provider) are only available on compatible devices (i.e. the infotainment system) which support the particular 4G/LTE frequency of the specific roaming network. Where 4G/LTE services cannot be provided, 2G or 3G services will be provided subject to the availability of, and compatibility of the infotainment system with, such networks. If a suitable network is not available, Hyundai Bluelink services will not be available and all data transmission via the Hyundai Bluelink Device will cease.

7. Uptime

7.1.) We reserve the right to temporarily or permanently deactivate access to the Services in whole or in part for technical and security reasons (e.g. in the event of gaps in security) and other important reasons.

7.2.) The provision and use of the Services may be subject to restrictions regarding the current state of the art beyond the scope of our control. This relates in particular to the availability of the data connections provided by carriers. In individual cases, the non-availability of the network can lead to the Services not being available as the necessary data transfer cannot occur. In addition, short-term capacity bottlenecks can arise from peak loads on the Services, wireless and fixed networks and on the Internet.

7.3.) Disruptions can also arise due to force majeure, including strikes, lockouts and official orders, and on account of technical and other measures (e.g. repairs, maintenance, software updates, and extensions) necessary on our systems or those of downstream or upstream providers, content providers and network operators, which are necessary for the proper or improved performance of the Services.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

8.2.) We share the information we collect with Service Providers for purposes of providing the Bluelink services. All Service Providers or third parties are contractually obligated to keep your information confidential if it is identifiable to you and use such information only as we specify.

8.3.) We recommend the User to inform any other user/driver of the vehicle that the Services are activated. We recommend to the User to inform such other user/driver about the data processing activities described in the Privacy Notice and the fact that the Services require the collection and processing of location data (GPS data).

9. Term and Free Services

The term of this Terms of Use is congruent to the period in which your vehicle is covered by Hyundai Manufacturer’s warranty (the “Term”). During the initial three (3) years of the Term, the Services shall be provided to you free of charge. Upon expiration of this three-year complimentary period, continued use of the Services shall be subject to the payment of applicable service fees. For further details regarding Hyundai Manufacturer’s warranty, please see the Hyundai warranty booklet of your vehicle.

10. Termination/Restriction of Use

10.1.) These Terms of Use will be automatically terminated when:
user successfully rescinds from purchase agreement for the vehicle; or the purchase agreement is reversed for other reasons successfully; or the user account is deactivated in accordance with the terms applicable to the Bluelink account.

10.2.) We reserve the right to temporarily or permanently block and/or revoke the use of the Services in case of material breach of these Terms of Use and, in case of material breach by the User of these Terms of Use, to terminate the Terms of Use.

11. Changes to the Terms of Use and/or to the Services/Assignment of Rights

Hyundai reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the Terms of Use and/or to the Services to reflect changes in law or best practice or to deal with additional features which we introduce, and to assign our rights and duties under this agreement in full or in part to a third party. The User will be notified by us about any changes to these Terms of Use and/or the Services within a reasonable time ahead of the effective date of the new Terms of Use. If User do not agree to the updated Terms, User have the right to stop using the Services. Please note that continuing to use the Services after the new Terms take effect will be considered your acceptance of the changes. If you explicitly decline the new Terms, your access to the Services will be suspended, and this agreement will end.

12. Miscellaneous

12.1.) These Terms of Use for the Hyundai Bluelink services and any given data protection declaration (e.g. your consent) are the entire agreement of the parties with respect to the subject matter of the use of the Services and supersedes all prior agreements, written or oral, between the parties with respect to the subject matter.
12.2.) Deviating, conflicting or supplementing terms and conditions of the User shall only govern the use of the Services if explicitly accepted by us in writing.

12.3.) We may assign our rights and obligations under our contract with you either in full or in part to a third party. We will notify you of the intended assignment at least four weeks in advance. If you do not agree with the assignment, you can terminate your contract with us at any time (we will remind you of this when we inform you about the intended assignment).

12.4.) Any amendments and additions to the Terms of Use as well as notifications necessary for their execution require text form (including email, fax) to be effective. The text form requirement can only be overruled in text form.

12.5.) Each of the paragraphs of these Terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.

12.6.) Even if we delay in enforcing this contract, we can still enforce it later. If we do not insist immediately that you do anything you are required to do under these terms, or if we delay in taking steps against you in respect of your breaking this contract, that will not mean that you do not have to do those things, and it will not prevent us taking steps against you later.

12.7.) These Terms are governed by Thai law, and you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the products in the Thai courts.

14. Liability

14.1.) You acknowledge that Hyundai Blulink Services and your Hyundai Blulink Account are provided on an "AS IS" basis. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from technical problems. Furthermore, we make no representation that any data or information provided via the Services will be current, complete, or accurate. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we expressly disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied. This includes, but is not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, any commercial, business or resale purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, and timeliness. All such warranties are hereby excluded from these Terms. If the law prevents us from excluding a specific warranty, our liability for a breach is strictly limited to providing the Service again or covering the cost of doing so.

14.2.) We have no liability to any indirect, consequential, incidental losses or special damages and you agree not to make, and to waive to the fullest extent allowed by law, any claim for damages other than direct, actual, compensatory damages as limited under Hyundai Bluelink Terms and Conditions.

14.3.) Hyundai Bluelink and the Services have not been developed to meet your individual requirements. Please check that the facilities and functions of Hyundai Bluelink and the Services meet your requirements.

14.4.) Hyundai Blulink services are not a primary safety or security feature and may not operate in all circumstances. The Hyundai Blulink services are intended to be used only in accordance with these Hyundai Blulink Terms and Conditions.
