Transfer of ownership

The new owner must send the vehicle to an authorized HYUNDAI Service Center for a thorough inspection to determine whether the vehicle is eligible for warranty transfer, based on its condition and service history. The cost of the inspection will be borne by the new owner.

To proceed, the new owner is required to submit the following documents:
• Owner Information Change Form (available in the car warranty booklet)
• Vehicle Inspection Report (confirming the vehicle is in good running condition)
• A copy of the updated Registration Card (reflecting the new owner's name)

The vehicle warranty is fully transferable to subsequent Hyundai vehicle owners, provided there is a good service record in accordance with the warranty terms and conditions outlined in the Owner’s Manual and the Warranty Information & Maintenance Record booklet. If the service record for the previous owner is unavailable or shows a breach of service requirements, Hyundai reserves the right to decline the transfer of the remaining warranty coverage to the new owner.

If the vehicle is originally registered for commercial use (e.g. for hire and reward purposes, such as a taxi, private hire vehicle or light commercial vehicle), then if the vehicle is sold on, subsequent owners of the vehicle, even if using the vehicle is for private use, will only benefit from any remaining portion of the original 3 years or 100,000 km, whichever comes first commercial warranty. The warranty cover on a vehicle registered for private use, when sold on to subsequent owners who choose to run the vehicle for commercial use, will have the remainder of the 3 years or 100,000 km, whichever comes first warranty.
