- Hyundai Motor will offer free wireless Internet service to one of the most visited tourist spots in the world for two years

- Four promising Brazilian athletes of sailing and archery will receive support for training and competitions


July 23, 2015 - Celebrating the 450th anniversary of Rio de Janeiro, Hyundai Motor Brazil announced today it will offer wireless Internet access free of charge for the first time ever to three million people that visit the Brazil’s iconic Christ the Redeemer for the next two years.
 

Also, Hyundai Motor Brazil will support four promising Brazilian athletes of Sailing and Archery for two years. Martine Grael and Kahena Kunze of Sailing and Marcus Vinicius D'Almeida and Andrey Muniz de Castro of Archery will be granted with better training and preparation conditions for national and international competitions. They will also participate in digital activities and events organized by Hyundai Motor, promoting their personal stories of resilience and achievements.
 

William Lee, President of Hyundai Motor Brazil, said at an event held at the peak of the 700 m Corcovado mountain where the statue is located, "Hyundai Motor is well received by Brazilians with wide open arms. Specially developed for Brazilian Market, HB20 immediately became a sales success by reaching accumulated sales of 500,000 units since its launch in end of 2012. We are proud to be able to return their affection by offering wireless Internet to visitors of
Christ the Redeemer.”
