May 2011 marked the end of the international contest “Musical Shorts” held by YouTube along with Hyundai Motor. One of the winners was the Russian participant Mikhail Stozharov (Cheboksary city) with his short “For a Dream”. He got the trip voucher for two to Seoul, South Korea.
According to the contest conditions the registered competitors had to shoot a musical video of the Mason Bates band’s song “Mothership Remix” that was available on the contest’s Internet site. The best videos were selected under the following criteria: originality and creativity, correspondence with the musical composition and correspondence with Hyundai new slogan “New thinking. New possibilities”.
The contest judges selected 16 finalists from whom the winner was chosen. It was Randy Granger from Canada with his video “Let it flow like domino”. He got Hyundai Veloster 2012 and a trip voucher for two to Seoul, South Korea.
The five finalists who took the 2nd
place were awarded with trip vouchers for two to Seoul. The all other finalists who took the 3rd
place got cheques for 500 US dollars.
