HMC conducts the Global SARANG Campaign, in which about 1,000 won or less of each employee’s wage is collected and donated to designated organizations as charity when the money reaches a certain amount. On December 22, about 15 million won was collected in such a way throughout the year of 2010. HMC matched the fund, doubling it to 30 million won in the end and donated it to the Global Village Sharing Association (led by Kim Hye-seong). The money raised and donated will be used to support the living of immigrant workers in Korea as well as the studies of children of immigrants.
