This year HMC plans to deliver 10 mobile clinic vehicles in total to five countries (2 each) of Africa: that is, Ethiopia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, Ghana and Rwanda. The project is one of Hyundai’s global social commitment programs conducted in conjunction with the Korea International Public Medical Care Foundation, the governments of beneficiary countries, and the local clinical institutes and NGOs.
On June 9, HMC held a ceremony at the Ministry of Public Health in Adis-Ababa, Ethiopia, delivering the mobile clinics to the representatives of the Ethiopian government present there. HMC seeks to provide easily accessible and vital public healthcare services to the poor and the underprivilged in developing countries through these vehicles. Since 2009, HMC has provided vehicles through the program to such countries as Uzbekistan, Ethiopia, and Congo.
