SEOUL, Feb. 23, 2018 – For the fourth consecutive year, Hyundai Motor received worldwide recognition for its distinctive vehicle design from the prestigious iF Design Awards jury. The All-new Kona and i30 Fastback won iF Design Awards in Product heading in the Automobiles/Vehicles category.
This year’s iF Design Awards are further validation of Hyundai Motor’s continuous effort to raise the bar for design and quality excellence in the automotive industry.
iF Design Award stamped its seal of excellence on the All-new Kona; Hyundai Motors cutting-edge, compact SUV. Its strong identity has been forged from contrasting styling features, a confident stance and desirable good looks.
The expressive and powerful All-new Kona adopts Hyundai Motor’s new family identity, the Cascading Grille. Composite lights and twin headlamps enhance the visual impact, delivering a confident, progressive appearance with a sleek, sharp silhouette. A bold front and rear are emphasized by the car’s wide stance and its voluminous, confident body styling. The refined, sophisticated interior of the all-new KONA reinforces the stylish design and rugged exterior.
Another iF Design Award winner, the i30 Fastback is Hyundai’s latest addition to the i30 line-up and a real game changer, which embodies the company’s ambition to make premium design accessible to everyone.
The first stylish, sophisticated five-door coupe in its segment, the i30 Fastback is characterized by its strong stance, gracefully raked lines and a sloping fastback roofline. Tapering towards the rear, the cabin’s sleek shape is inspired by a teardrop. This distinctive silhouette sets it apart from the crowd in any situation. The interior is equally elegant, featuring cabin surfaces and fixtures that creates a premium feeling of quality and space.
For more than 64 years, people around the world have viewed an iF Design Award as a symbol of design excellence. Organized by iF International Forum Design GmbH, the awards recognize outstanding design across various disciplines and categories. The jury awarded the coveted prize to Hyundai Motor’s All-new Kona and i30 Fastback following a rigorous judging process.
