HYUNDAI CANADA APPOINTS OLES GADACZ TO PR DIRECTOR
MARKHAM, Ontario (September 7, 2011) – Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. (HACC) is pleased to announce that automotive industry veteran Oles Gadacz has joined the company as Director of Public Relations. In the newly-created role, Gadacz will have overall responsibility for Public Relations initiatives, coordinate HACC’s position within global communications efforts, lead its local Corporate Social Responsibility programs, and be the Government and industry relations liaison.
Prior to joining HACC, Gadacz spent nearly eight years as the Managing Director, Global Communications at Hyundai Motor Company in South Korea. During his time abroad, Gadacz spurred the development of Hyundai’s first Global PR team to build and capitalize on the momentum of the Hyundai brand through a period of intense growth. Prior to working at Hyundai Motor Co., Gadacz owned and operated Korean Auto Research Co. Ltd., a firm that provided writing, editorial and research services on a broad range of automotive related topics for local and overseas media clients, automobile manufacturers and component suppliers.
A graduate of McMaster University with a B.A. in Philosophy, Gadacz spent approximately half of his career working as a journalist focusing on the South Korean automotive, advertising, marketing and technology industries. As a correspondent and freelance journalist, his work appeared in a number of US publications including Automotive News and Advertising Age.
Hyundai Auto Canada Corp., established in 1983 and headquartered in Markham, Ontario, is a subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Company of South Korea. Hyundai vehicles are distributed throughout Canada by Hyundai Auto Canada and are sold and serviced through 200 dealerships nationwide.
