Hyundai will donate Universe, a model of vehicles it produces, as the of?cial buses for transportation to be used by the 2013 Summer Universiade that is going to be held in the Republic of Tatarstan. On November 24, Hyundai signed the memorandum of understanding on the donation and arrangement of the vehicles for the 2013 Universiade in the City of Kazan, the republic’s capital. Present at the MOU signing event held in Hyundai Brand Shop in Moscow were: Director of Commercial Vehicles Exports Min Wang-shik; Leonov Vladimir, the Chairman of the 2013 Summer Universiade Preparation Committee; Kachalov Vladimir, President of Hyundai Commercial Vehicles Dealership Russia. The company will provide a total of 340 Universe vehicles from August next year till the year’s end, worth over US$40 million in total.
A festive, biannual occasion for young adults around the world, the Summer Universiade attracts on average over 10,000 delegates. The 27th Summer Universiade to be held in Kazan in 2013 (July 10 ~ 23, 2013) will draw over 14,000 delegates and athletes from 170 countries around the world, thereby becoming the largest Universiade to be held yet.
