Hyundai Motor Expands the Scope of Social Initiatives
In the Eastern European Region
- Hyundai Motor provides various creating shared value (CSV) activities in Eastern Europe
- ‘Hyundai for Children’ project holds camps in Ukraine aimed at helping children
August 26, 2015 – Hyundai Motor officially launched the ‘Abay bol - Drive. Think. Care.’ program in Kazakhstan on August 25. This program offers free car maintenance and training on how to react in emergency situations for Hyundai customers and the general public.
As part of Hyundai Motor’s efforts in supporting social initiatives in Eastern Europe, this campaign aims to enhance general public’s knowledge on road and car safety in the region.
Hyundai Motor will provide practical information on car maintenance and educational workshops for the general public. Students will have opportunities to meet project ambassadors – famous Kazakh celebrities who support this initiative. For children, an everyday interactive learning playground and a theatrical play on road safety will be staged inside Mega Center, a huge shopping mall in Almaty.
The campaign also offers safety bands to raise road safety awareness among the public. Money collected from the sales of safety bands will go to the ‘Fund of Car Accident Victims’ charity. Through these activities, Hyundai Motor hopes to contribute in lowering accidents rates.
Moreover, Hyundai Motor also conducted the ‘Hyundai for Children’ project in Ukraine as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities in the region to help children whose parents were lost or wounded in anti-terrorist operations. As part of the project, two camps were held in August. More camps are scheduled for two groups in orphanages located in different cities in September. During the camp, children can participate in foreign language courses, games, various hobby groups and consultation from psychologists.
