Hyundai Motor Reports April Global Sales
(Seoul, Korea) Hyundai Motor Company, South Korea's largest automaker, reports its domestic and overseas sales results for April 2010.

April 2010 Highlights (year-on-year)
Domestic Sales
▶ Up 16.9%, aided by two all-new models launched in 2nd half of last year, the new Sonata and Tucson ix
▶ The best-selling model in Korea last month was again the Sonata, selling 12,571 units. Of this figure, 11,138 units were the new Sonata model, which was launched in the domestic market in last September.
Overseas Sales
▶ Up 30.1%
▶ Exports up 43.6%, sales of overseas plants up 22.5% led by China, India and Czech.

Domestic Sales
▶ Up 26.4%
▶ The best-selling model in Korea was the Sonata, selling 57,103 units.
▶ Sonata and Tucson ix, account for 34.2% of total domestic sales.
Overseas Sales
▶ Up 35.9%
▶ Exports up 28.5%, sales from overseas plants up 40.3%
