Hyundai Motor Reports March Global Sales
(Seoul, Korea) Hyundai Motor Company, South Korea's largest automaker, reports its domestic and overseas sales results for March 2010 and the 1st Quarter of 2010.

1. Commercial Vehicles (CV) include buses & trucks.
2. Hyundai Motor currently has 5 overseas plants in China, India, Turkey, U.S. and Czech.

March 2010 Highlights (year-on-year)
Domestic Sales
▶ Up 20.7%, aided by two all-new models launched in 2nd half of last year, New Sonata and Tucson ix.
▶ The best-selling model in Korea last month was again the Sonata, selling 15,879 units. Of this figure, 14,575 units were the new Sonata model, which was launched in the domestic market in last September.
Overseas Sales
▶ Up 39.6%
▶ Exports up 36.4%, sales of overseas plants up 41.6% led by China, India and Czech.
January to March (YTD) 2010 Highlights (year-on-year)
Domestic Sales
▶ Up 29.9%
▶ The best-selling model in Korea was the Sonata, selling 44,532 units.
▶ Sonata and Tucson ix, account for 35.1% of total domestic sales.
Overseas Sales
▶ Up 37.8%
▶ Exports up 22.6%, sales of overseas plants up 47.2% led by China (increased by 47%), India (increased by 32%).
