On October 4, HMC hosted a ceremony at the Child Foundation of?ce in Seoul to deliver scholarships and ?nancial aid for children of single-parent homes and children living with their grandparents, represented by ten select students. The event was also attended by the Director of Domestic Sales at HMC, Child Foundation President Lee Je-hun, and Choi Bul-am, an actor and president of supporters of the foundation.
At the ceremony, HMC donated 530 million won of scholarships for 1,004 children in total, raised by setting aside every 10,000 won of the proceeds from the sales of each of the cars sold throughout the month of September. A spokesperson for the company said of the event: “The scholarship represents part of our efforts to spread the culture of sharing and charity for various sectors of society. As a leading company of Korea, HMC will continue to help out the needy and the poor through its diverse CSR programs.”
