From July 20 through July 24, Hyundai’s Robocar Poli will be with the Seoul Character
Licensing Fair to be held at COEX in Samseong-dong. Robocar Poli is the first
3D animation developed in South
Korea by HMC and Roy Visual that promotes
greater awareness of traffic safety issues affecting children. It also became
the first Korean animation to win the first prize in the Junior Licensing
Challenge category at the International Visual Contents Exposition, the world’s most renowned event of its kind, held in Cannes in last October.
The main programs featuring Robocar Poli’s characters at the Special Traffic Safety Education
Hall will include: the display of the Robocar Poli studio set; screenings of
animations on traffic safety; learning sites for traffic safety; and other
performances. In addition, HMC will use it as the occasion for the first-ever
screening of Robocar Poli the traffic-safety animation as part of the company’s global CSR projects. The fair, organized by Korea
Creative Contents Agency, is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and
Tourism and the City of Seoul
and is provided with special support from HMC.
