On the 30th of last month, HMC held the 2011 Art Dream Festival at the Grand Auditorium of its headquarters in Yangjae-dong, Seoul, featuring performances by teams from 18 children welfare organizations from across the nation. As part of the Art Dream Project, through which HMC supports the cultural and artistic activities of the social service organizations it sponsors, the festival shared the fruit of the labor and efforts made throughout the last year. It featured performances across multiple genres of arts, including an orchestra, a fusion brass conccert, chime bells, pansori, choir, Nanta, b-boying, and group sounds. A spokesperson said of the event: “We have been doing this project for 4 years, and have discovered excellent clubs invited by outside organizations for special performances and children with talents who went on to specialize in arts training.” In addition, HMC continues to sponsor the Art Dream Project that seeks to provide financial and other types of assistance for children in low-income families to pursue their artistic dreams and careers.
