The climax of the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards held in Belfast, Northern Island, on December 6 came when the Northern Ireland Youth Forum won their first MTV Voices Awards. HMUK, as an official partner of the event, donated its latest Veloster sports coupe for the winner. The Forum will use the vehicle for their volunteer works concerning marginalized and excluded youths in the country.
The Forum is an active organization led by teenagers and youths to solve various social problems that affect young people by providing aids and volunteer works. Its main aim is to enhance self-esteem of Irish youths and enable them to raise their voices concerning social problems and political decisions that affect them through various events, online forums, and training programs. Allan Rushforth, Vice-President and an executive of Hyundai Motor Europe, said of the donation: “We are proud of ourselves for supporting the activities of the Northern Ireland Youth Forum by donating this Veloster. Our wish is to see the members of the Forum to continue to enable other young people to play more active roles in the future.”
A part ofHMUK’s worldwide campaign led by the slogan of “Moving the World Together,” the recent donation conforms to HMUK’s aim to ensure environmental sustainability worldwide, safety in road conditions and individual mobility, and the protection of individual and group rights in various areas.
