Offenbach, March 15th 2010

Hyundai has signed a pan-European agreement with Arval, a subsidiary of BNP Paribas, to provide Hyundai vehicles to business users via Arval’s comprehensive leasing and fleet management programs.  The deal takes in 15 countries – the first time that Arval has entered into a co-operation with such broad geographical coverage – allowing Hyundai to increase its presence in the fleet sector in countries such as France, Italy and Germany.

The partnership, which takes effect from March 2010 and will run for two years, will extend Hyundai’s representation in the European fleet and leasing market, playing a significant role in driving forward Hyundai corporate sales.

“Hyundai is serious about establishing a greater presence in the European fleet sector, and the partnership with Arval will play a key role in helping us to achieve this,” said Allan Rushforth, Vice President of Hyundai Motor Europe.  “Teaming up with Arval – a major player in the industry – fits with our ambitions to enhance our offer to corporate customers.

“In addition to this new agreement, we will further professionalize Hyundai’s fleet activities this year.  Increases in manpower and enhanced fleet dealer standards will give us a sound platform for success.  On this we will build our innovative marketing and customer satisfaction tools, such as our new ‘Triple 5’ warranty, roadside assistance and vehicle health-check package.”
