Hyundai Motor Announces the Winners for Its
“Be There With Hyundai” FIFA World Cup Program

- Over one million votes were submitted to choose the 32 winning slogans
- Winning slogans to be displayed on the national team buses during the        2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™

May 12, 2014 Hyundai Motor Company, Official Partner of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™, today announced winners of its “Be There With Hyundai (BTWH)” program. The 32 winning slogans for the participating countries will be displayed on the national team buses that transport the players during the tournament.
Fans from all over the world submitted slogans from October 17, 2013 to February 27, 2014 through the website and more than 160,000 slogans were collected during that time. After the list was trimmed to the best three per team, around 280,000 worldwide football fans participated in voting for their favorite slogans to represent each national team from April 22 to May 7, while total votes reached nearly one million.
In particular, “Three million dreams … Let’s go Uruguay,” the winning slogan for Uruguay’s national team was chosen as the one lucky winner to receive a 2014 FIFA World Cup™ tour package, including tickets, airfare and hotel to a round of 16 match. All 32 participants whose slogans are chosen as the winners for each qualified team will be given specially-made photos of their slogan displayed on the respective buses.
Since its launch at the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany™, BTWH turned out to be a successful marketing program of the event, sparking huge media interest. The automaker’s exclusive program continued its success at the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ South Africa, with the active participation of thousands of football fans all over the world.
Since Hyundai signed the agreement to sponsor FIFA competitions including the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan™ in 1999, Hyundai has successfully served as the official automotive partner of 2002, 2006, 2010 FIFA World Cups™ as well as many other FIFA tournaments.
