SEOUL, April 1, 2022 – Hyundai Motor Company today announced its March 2022 global sales of 313,926 units, a 17 percent decrease from a year earlier.
In markets outside of Korea, Hyundai Motor sold a total of 261,043 units, a 14.3 percent year-on-year decrease. Sales in Korea were down by 28.4 percent year-on-year to 52,883 units, including 10,831 units from the Genesis luxury brand.
Despite unfavorable external factors, including ongoing components shortages, cost fluctuations of raw materials and the COVID-19 resurgence, the global sales of March increased by 11.1 percent and 2.8 percent from January and February this year.
Hyundai Motor will endeavor to minimize the impact of business uncertainties by optimizing production and inventory status, and diversifying business strategies tailored for each region.
