N – Born in Namyang and honed at the Nürburgring

N stands for Namyang, home of our global Research & Development centre. Born in Namyang and honed at the Nürburgring – the N logo also symbolises a racetrack’s chicane curve. Hyundai N cars are designed to perform – and to put a grin on your face. They are engineered to satisfy drivers who want to feel the burst of adrenaline that gets your heart beating faster – The pure joy of driving.

European Technical Center

The Nürburgring Nordschleife is home to our European Technical Center, where we conduct accelerated durability tests in the development of our high-performance vehicle technology.

Namyang R&D Center

With its world-class engineers and facilities, Namyang is the birthplace of every high-performance N – with infrastructure and test roads covering over 3.3 million square meters of land.

N models

We have always taken the lessons learned in our highly successful racing programs and applied it to our road-going N cars. After the i30 N, i30 Fastback N, i20 N, and KONA N – we now offer the all-electric IONIQ 5 N and 6 N – and a new petrol-powered model is in development.

The beauty of motorsport-inspired details

Next to their high-performance capabilities, the Hyundai N vehicles share motorsport-inspired design elements. The rear spoiler, triangular brake light, and aggressively sculpted bumpers with large air intakes are some of the elements all models share – as well as the 20” forged N alloy wheels featuring high- performance brakes with red N callipers.

20" forged wheels

Aerodynamically optimised and paired with Pirelli P-Zero tyres, the 20” forged lightweight wheels are aerodynamically optimised and enable agile cornering through reduced unsprung mass.
N signature design

The wing-type air curtains emphasise the N identity and enhance aerodynamic performance. The Luminous Orange accents on the bumpers and side sills are exclusive to the EV N models.
Triangular brake lights

All N models share motorsport-inspired styling elements like the iconic triangular third brake light or fog light.

N Bucket Seats

Seen here in a luxurious recycled poly Alcantara and Leather finish, the sporty N Bucket Seats feature illuminated N logos that light up to welcome you when you open the door.
The beauty of big screens

The sleek modular dashboard features two integrated displays: a 12.3" infotainment screen and a 12.3" digital cluster that provide performance driving information at a glance.
N steering wheel

Grip and grin. The leather N steering wheel provides excellent grip and direct access to driving performance features like the paddle shifters and the N Grin Shift and Drive Mode buttons.

Our high-performance all-electric N models deliver a stellar range of breakthrough-tech for heightened precision and engagement. Features like N e-Shift and N Active Sound+ let you truly feel the shifts and hear the acceleration. And when you press the N Grin Boost button, the IONIQ 6 N takes you from 0-100 km/h in a scorching 3.2 seconds.

Ready. Steady. Grin! Press the N Grin Boost button to enjoy increased torque and power up to 478 kW / 650 PS. A boost that propels IONIQ 5 N from 0-100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds.
Optimised sport pedal design

Due to the sporty nature of N driving, IONIQ 5 N’s pedals are optimised for foot contact in track driving scenarios, reducing the risk of foot slippage in two-foot driving.
High-performance battery conditioning

The N Battery system quickly optimises battery temperature – cooling or heating the battery before every ride to maximise battery life, driving performance and charging efficiency.
