Since the premiere of the award-winning i30 Fastback N, we’ve been working hard to make a great thing even better. Driven by lessons learned in our highly successful i30 N TCR race package and motivated by feedback from our N enthusiast community – major performance enhancements include: the 8-speed N DCT with paddle shifters, increased power & torque for the Performance Pack, and lightweight forged alloy wheels.

Performance Package.
The 2.0 T-GDi engine now delivers 280 PS and a substantial increase in flat power for more torque and power at lower RPMs. This ensures high responsiveness, improved acceleration and much more fun. Choose from a 6-speed manual transmission or a wet-type eight-speed dual clutch transmission (N DCT) with paddle shifters for more control and faster shifts. Max. torque: 392 Nm. Top speed: 250 km/h.

With the standard trim, the i30 Fastback N is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission with a carbon synchronizer ring and a strong clutch. Short shift travel helps with fast shifting and gives you sporty response for more racecar feeling in everyday life. Maximum power output: 250 PS. Maximum torque: 353 Nm. Top speed: 250 km/h.
Now you can choose from two transmissions.
When it comes to making fast, smooth and efficient shifts, you have two performance enhancing choices. The standard smooth-shifting 6-speed close-ratio manual or the available all-new quick-shifting wet-type 8-speed dual clutch transmission (N DCT), which also lets you select gears manually with the shift lever or the steering wheel mounted paddle shifters for more race car feeling in everyday life.

N Power Shift.
Enhanced driving thrills with “push feel” when upshifting. Engages at acceleration with more than 90 percent throttle, mitigating any reduction in torque by using upshifts to deliver maximum power to the wheels. -
N Track Sense Shift.
Senses how you're driving and activates when it knows you're driving on a track. It then selects the right gear for optimal performance so you can focus on steering – just like a professional race car driver.
N Grin Control.
Enjoy more smiles per kilometre – At the push of a button, the N Grin Control System gives you the choice of five distinct drive modes to match your mood. The different modes change the character of the car, adjusting the parameters of the engine, suspension, steering, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), exhaust sound, N Corner Carving Differential (e-LSD), transmission.

Eco mode.
Eco mode is geared towards efficiency. Rev-matching is turned off and engine response and exhaust sound are toned down to a reduced level. Each mode creates a new feeling by altering the operating parameters of the throttle response, suspension stiffness, stability control, N Corner Carving Differential, steering, rev-matching, and exhaust sound.

Normal mode.
In Normal mode, powertrain, exhaust sound and chassis settings are at a comfortable level for daily commuting. Each mode creates a new feeling by altering the operating parameters of the engine throttle response, suspension stiffness, stability control, N Corner Carving Differential, steering weight, rev-matching intensity, and exhaust sound.

Sport mode.
Sport mode enables even more dynamic driving – you’ll really feel the performance with engine response, suspension dampers and exhaust sound dialled up for sporty driving. Each mode alters the operating parameters of the throttle response, suspension stiffness, stability control, N Corner Carving Differential, steering, rev-matching, and exhaust sound.

N mode.
The N mode will put the biggest grin on your face. Press the N button on the steering wheel and every powertrain and chassis settings are set to their highest performance levels. Engine response, steering, exhaust sound, rev-matching and the dampers of the electronically controlled suspension are at the most dynamic. Enjoy.

N Custom mode.
Feel like creating your own race set up? No problem. N Custom modes give you the freedom to individually customise your different driving modes. Fine-tune all powertrain and chassis settings: engine response, rev-matching, N Corner Carving Differential, exhaust sound, electronically controlled suspension, electronic stability control and steering.

Personalize your grin.
In the N Custom mode, you can select from Normal, Sport, and Sport+ settings for each high-performance component to match driving preferences and road conditions.

N Traction and Stability Control.
Like a good co-pilot, it helps when needed, but is otherwise quiet, never disturbing your driving fun and making you go even faster. It can be switched off completely for maximum racetrack feeling. -
N Corner carving differential.
Engineered by Hyundai to provide a unique carving feeling through even the most challenging corners, this differential maintains maximum fun and stability when braking, entering and exiting corners. -
Active variable exhaust system.
Pump up the volume. Select different levels of exhaust sound – relatively restrained in Normal mode, to the crackling “after-burn” growl in N mode with added fuel detonations, like a rally car.
