The STARGAZER Cartenz and Cartenz X come equipped with modern features, including Hyundai SmartSense, Shift-by-Wire, Surround View Monitor (SVM), Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM), Front Parking Distance Warning, and Built-in Navigation.

Jakarta, July 23, 2025 – PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) today held the world premiere of STARGAZER Cartenz and STARGAZER Cartenz X at GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025. Tailored for Indonesian families and professionals, both vehicles offer a sleek design, excellent comfort, and features that support everyday mobility, including Shift-by-Wire and Built-in Navigation. This launch also marks Hyundai’s strategic move, in realizing “The Real Indonesian Car”, specifically designed for Indonesia’s roads.

The introduction of Cartenz marks a refresh of the Hyundai STARGAZER, which has been a flagship model for Hyundai in Indonesia. The name is inspired by Puncak Cartenz, Indonesia’s highest peak, symbolizing Hyundai’s pursuit of top-tier comfort and innovation. It also reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to offering vehicles that are truly suited to the mobility needs of Indonesians.

STARGAZER Cartenz and STARGAZER Cartenz X will be exported to multiple international markets, with local adaptations to meet diverse consumer preferences. This initiative underscores Hyundai’s commitment to delivering relevant mobility solutions globally while strengthening Indonesia’s role as a world-class production hub.

With a sleek, modern look suited to different lifestyles, the STARGAZER Cartenz and Cartenz X offer versatile design options. STARGAZER Cartenz boasts a refined, aerodynamic silhouette suited for modern families, while the STARGAZER Cartenz X exudes a tougher, more rugged presence with signature crossover styling, ideal for active individuals who often drive in varying road conditions, such as winding roads and narrow residential alleys. Both models also feature a roomy and comfortable cabin, delivering enjoyable rides for every passenger, whether for daily use or extended trips.

STARGAZER Cartenz and STARGAZER Cartenz X are equipped with a range of top-tier features, including Hyundai SmartSense (HSS), designed to ensure maximum safety while driving. Key highlights include Rear and Front Parking Distance Warning^**, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go^**, Blind Spot View Monitor (BVM)^*** and Surround View Monitor (SVM)^***, all working together to deliver a class-leading driving experience.

Exclusive to the STARGAZER Cartenz X, users will enjoy the convenience of Shift-by-Wire (SBW)^***** technology, positioned near the steering wheel.This layout improves driver comfort and frees up space in the center console for additional storage, making it ideal for today’s active lifestyles.

To enhance navigation convenience, Hyundai has equipped both the STARGAZER Cartenz ^*** and Cartenz X with Built-in Navigation, allowing drivers to easily find the best routes without relying on external devices like smartphones, especially useful in remote or low-connectivity areas.

To ensure smoother driving, Hyundai has equipped both the STARGAZER Cartenz^**** and STARGAZER Cartenz X^***** with Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, which allows the vehicle to automatically stop and resume driving in stop-and-go traffic without driver intervention.

In order to enhance driving safety, the STARGAZER Cartenz X is also equipped with the Blind Spot View Monitor***, which displays the vehicle’s blind spots on the instrument panel when the driver activates the turn signal, making it especially useful when maneuvering in limited spaces.

STARGAZER Cartenz and STARGAZER Cartenz X Prices and Variants

STARGAZER Cartenz is offered in four variants: Trend, Style, Smart HSS (Hyundai SmartSense), and Prime HSS (Hyundai SmartSense). Meanwhile, STARGAZER Cartenz X is available in three variants: Prime Package, Style, and Trend. Both models come in the following color options: Creamy White Pearl, Midnight Black Pearl, Magnetic Silver Metallic, and Titan Gray Metallic. For the STARGAZER Cartenz X, Hyundai also offers exclusive matte color options — Gravity Gold Matte and Optic White Matte for an additional IDR 3.5 million.

STARGAZER Cartenz X also offers a Prime Package variant, featuring upgraded options such as Driver Ventilated Seat, Surround View Monitor (SVM), Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM), and electric driver adjustable seat.

For those who prefer the Captain Seat configuration, this option is available from the Style variant of STARGAZER Cartenz and across all STARGAZER Cartenz X variants, with an additional cost of Rp3.5 million.
