SEOUL, November 1, 2023 – Hyundai Motor Company today announced global sales of 377,986 units in October 2023, a 9.6 percent year-over-year increase.

The company is maintaining robust sales momentum for SUV models thanks to the gradual recovery from the global parts shortage and the launch of new models, including the all-new SANTA FE and KONA SUVs.

In October, sales numbers outside Korea increased by 10.4 percent with 313,658 units. The production stabilization in its facilities around the globe and solid demand of the brand have helped the company secure solid performance in North and South American, European and Indian markets.

Sales in South Korea increased 5.9 percent from the previous year’s October sales of 64,328 units. The all-new Grandeur flagship sedan (badged as Azera outside of South Korea) sold 8,192 units and Hyundai Motor’s SUV models collectively sold 24,012 units in the domestic market. The Genesis luxury brand also maintained strong momentum with 7,596 units sold.

Hyundai Motor sold nearly 18,000 units of its electric vehicle (EV) models in October worldwide, proving that the company is solidifying its EV leadership in the global market.

From January to October this year, the company sold 3,505,024 units around the globe, up 7.9 percent from the same period a year earlier, thanks to solid demand for Hyundai models.

To meet its customers’ diverse needs, Hyundai Motor will continue implementing various measures to deliver class-leading products, including the all-new KONA and SANTA FE SUVs and the IONIQ 5 N high-performance EV launched this year.
