Hyundai Motor Group Invites Global Tech Talent to Tech Talent Forum 2026 in Pursuit of Physical AI Innovation

SILICON VALLEY, September 10, 2026 – Hyundai Motor Group (the Group) will host the HMG Tech Talent Forum in Silicon Valley from September 17–18 to attract leading tech professionals as it expands into innovative sectors including Physical AI and robotics.  


The event will be hosted by nine Group affiliates and partners, including: Hyundai Motor Company, Hyundai Motor America (HMA), Kia Corporation, Kia America, Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI), Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA), Boston Dynamics, Motional, and 42dot.

What Is the HMG Tech Talent Forum?

Held at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, the HMG Tech Talent Forum highlights the Group's technology vision and global talent strategy. Through keynote speeches, leadership discussions, real-world project showcases, interactive exhibitions and career consultations, tech professionals will gain first-hand experience of the Group's technological competitiveness and diverse growth opportunities.

What Are the Main Sessions?

The Forum's featured sessions include keynote speeches and a Leaders Panel Talk, bringing together senior executives and technology leaders from across the Group and its affiliates to share insights on innovation, future mobility and talent development.


Keynote Speeches


Key leaders from across the Group will deliver keynote speeches sharing the Group’s future technology strategy and vision for global talent. Featured speakers include:


  • José Muñoz, President and CEO, Hyundai Motor Company
  • Manfred Harrer, President and Head of R&D Division, Hyundai Motor Group
  • Minwoo Park, President and Head of the Advanced Vehicle Platform Division, Hyundai Motor Group, and CEO of 42dot
  • Hae In Kim, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, Hyundai Motor Group


Leaders Panel Talk


The Leaders Panel Talk will bring together the Group’s technology leaders including: Manfred Harrer; Minwoo Park; ChangHwan Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of Electrification Energy Solutions Tech Unit of Hyundai Motor Group; Zack Jackowski, Chief Product and Technology Officer of Boston Dynamics; Phil Michel, Senior Vice President of Autonomy & AI of Motional; and Alpesh Patel, Vice President and Head of SDF Transformation Center of Hyundai Motor Group; to discuss the future direction of the technology industry and the Group’s ability to turn innovation into reality. The session will conclude with a live Q&A.

What Other Programs are Available?

  • Tech Sessions – In-depth discussions across six areas, including AI, robotics, autonomous driving, smart manufacturing, SW/IT and hydrogen/energy/battery, enabling exchanges between engineers and participants on real-world projects and technological applications.
  • Exhibition Program – Organized across three themed zones — Beyond the Vehicle, Beyond the Road, and Beyond the Industry — the exhibition features 16 hands-on and project-based displays spanning AI, robotics, autonomous driving, smart manufacturing, SW/IT and hydrogen/energy/battery. Featured technologies include MobED, Spot, alongside the IONIQ 5 robotaxi, the Hyundai CRATER Concept and advanced E&E architecture (CODA).
  • HR Coffee Chat – Informal conversations with hiring managers to explore career opportunities across the Group.
