Electrified Komoco Motors Brings Clean Mobility with Hyundai IONIQ 5 and Smart City Vision to Singapore

SINGAPORE/SEOUL, November 14, 2022 – Komoco Motors today delivered a fleet of 10 Hyundai IONIQ 5 all-electric SUVs to the Bloomberg New Economy Forum in Singapore for delegates’ transportation during the Forum, which runs Nov. 14-17.
Komoco Motors delivered the vehicles during a handover ceremony at the Forum site, Capella Singapore, attended by Teo Hock Seng, Executive Chairman of Komoco; Hong Bum Jung, Senior Vice President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center in Singapore (HMGICS); Junheang Heo, Vice President and Head of Asia Pacific Sales Group at Hyundai Motor Company; Jin Hyuk Choi, Vice President and Head of Sales Innovation Group at HMGICS; M. Scott Havens, CEO of Bloomberg Media; Jessica Webber, Global Head of Bloomberg Live and Bloomberg New Economy.
IONIQ 5 is one of the most in-demand models in the global EV market for its progressive design, ultra-fast 800-volt multi-charging, driving range of more than 300 miles and consumer-centric Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function that can power small appliances and even charge other EVs[i].
IONIQ 5 has won a slew of awards, such as MotorTrend’s ‘Golden Calipers’ for SUV of the Year, 2022 World Car of the Year, World EV of the Year, World Car Design of the Year, German Car of the Year, UK Car of the Year, Auto Express’ Car of the Year and Auto Bild’s Electric Car of the Year.

The theme of the fifth annual Forum is ‘Lighting a path through the Storm.’ In keeping with the Forum’s guiding theme, Hyundai is intending to share HMG vision of a future smart city at the Forum with integrated concepts around smart mobility and logistics. The company will also present the HMG’s focus and latest efforts in the fields of robotics and AI.
