Performance braking system

Powered by N Brake Regen regenerative braking

IONIQ 6 N's performance braking system features 400-mm front discs with four-piston monobloc calipers, 360-mm rear discs and optimized airflow for improved cooling efficiency. The N Brake Regen regenerative braking system – where the electric motors slow the car – works seamlessly with the hydraulic brakes, reducing heat and stress for optimum performance. It precisely controls deceleration and energy recovery without pedal interference – with 0.6G regenerative braking under brake for further fade endurance and 0.35G regenerative braking under ABS.

Innovative suspension

Developed to elevate handling precision and road holding

Enjoy exceptional cornering precision thanks to the advanced suspension geometry and a reengineered chassis for superior handling. Stroke-sensing Electronically Controlled Suspension (ECS) dampers and a lowered roll centre work together to enhance grip and stability, ensuring confidence-inspiring performance on undulating roads and demanding circuits.

Chassis tuning you can feel

Body rigidity enhancements for improved high-performance driving

Body rigidity has been strengthened through 44 additional weld points and 340 mm of adhesive added compared to the base IONIQ 6 model. This improves steering response and reduces body vibration for better handling and ride comfort. Other key upgrades include: a stiffer rear anti-roll bar and structural underbody reinforcement, improved load-bearing capacity and rear body stiffness for sharper steering response, reduced vibration and enhanced ride quality.
