On A Good Wicket International Cricket Council takes delivery of Hyundai vehicle fleet
• ICC take possession of 102 vehicle Hyundai fleet for Cricket World Cup 2015
• Hyundai Motor Company and International Cricket Council partnership enters fifth year
14th February, 2015 – Hyundai Motor Company, the world’s fastest-growing automaker by brand, has handed over the keys to an extensive fleet of its top selling models to the International Cricket Council (ICC), the global governing body for the sport. This marks the latest stage of an ongoing highly successful partnership between the two high profile organisations.
The ICC received delivery of a fleet of 102 Hyundai vehicles featuring the ix35 Australia’s number one Small SUV, award winning all-new Santa Fe, top-selling people mover, the iMax and soon-to-be-released all-new Sonata. The multipurpose fleet will be used for transporting VIP visitors, ICC Executives, Officials and teams including coaching staff and players throughout the World Cup event which will run from 14th February – 29th March 2014.
At an official handover ceremony held on 14th February at the world renown home of Australian cricket, the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Campbell Jamieson, ICC General Manager-Commercial, accepted the vehicle keys and said “We are absolutely delighted that Hyundai is supporting the ICC Cricket World Cup in Australia. The ICC is proud to partner with a global automotive leader and we look forward to using the fleet throughout the tournament period”

The partnership is part of Hyundai’s efforts to expand its global sports marketing activities and boost its brand image worldwide which currently includes a variety of other sports, including football, golf, and WRC across a number of key global markets.
