Hyundai Motor Group to Provide Electrified Official Vehicles for 2025 APEC Clean Energy Summit
SEOUL, July 22, 2025 – Hyundai Motor Group (the Group) will provide electrified official vehicles for the 15th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Energy Ministerial Meeting, the 16th Clean Energy Ministerial Meeting, and the 10th Mission Innovation Ministerial Meeting, scheduled to take place in Busan this August.
The Group will supply a total of 63 vehicles, consisting of hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) and electric vehicles (EVs), for the summit. This fleet includes 34 all-new Hyundai NEXO hydrogen fuel cell SUVs, 12 Genesis Electrified G80 sedans, 14 Kia EV9 SUVs, and three Hyundai UNIVERSE hydrogen buses, which will be used for transporting key figures and supporting various activities during the meetings.

The APEC Energy Ministerial Meeting is set to take place from August 27-28 in Busan, bringing together representatives from 21 economies to discuss critical topics such as power grid infrastructure, energy security, electricity supply stability, and energy innovation through AI.
The Clean Energy and Mission Innovation Ministerial Meetings will be held jointly from August 25-27 at BEXCO in Busan. Approximately 31 member countries are expected to participate, with discussions centered on clean power transition, hydrogen and future fuels, AI-driven energy solutions, and carbon reduction technologies.
In total, these events are anticipated to draw energy ministers and government delegations from more than 40 countries, alongside key stakeholders from international organizations.
By providing a full fleet of FCEVs and EVs, the Group aims to showcase the capability of its electrified models and reinforce its commitment to a sustainable future.
The all-new Hyundai NEXO SUV, serving as the main official vehicle, exemplifies the Group’s hydrogen leadership and green mobility vision. The next-generation Nexo features advanced, refined design, a class-leading range of up to 720 kilometers per charge, a 150 kW high-efficiency motor, and best-in-class safety and convenience features.
By supplying the all-new NEXO, the Group aims to further strengthen its position and raise awareness of hydrogen-powered vehicles.
