The i30 offers you powertrain options that include a 1.0 litre T-GDi petrol engine that delivers 115 PS with a 6-speed manual transmission. The 1.6 T-GDi petrol engine delivers 150 PS and is mated with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT).

        Rear Occupant Alert (ROA).

        Detects if a rear door was opened or shut before the car was started, then reminds the driver to check the seats upon exiting the vehicle.

        Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control-Curve (NSCC-C).

        Uses the navigation system to help you drive at a safe speed on the highway. You can set the speed to the current highway limits. The curve function predicts upcoming curves on the road and adjusts speed.

        Multi-Collision Braking (MCB).

        MCB helps to prevent passengers from secondary collisions after an initial impact. It works by automatically applying the brakes after vehicle airbags are deployed.

        1. Highway Driving Assist (HDA 1.5).

          Using camera, radar and navigation data, HDA keeps a set distance and speed from the vehicle ahead and centres the vehicle in the lane. The new HDA 1.5 adds motorways to the road types it operates on.1

        2. Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA).

          Scanning the road ahead, the FCA system automatically brakes when it detects sudden braking by the car ahead, or pedestrians and bicycles on the road.1

        3. Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Junction Turning (FCA-JT)

          Sensing the road with radar and a camera, the system automatically brakes when it detects sudden braking by the car ahead, or pedestrians and bikes on the road. When turning left at an intersection, it brakes if there is a risk of collision with an oncoming vehicle.1

        4. Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA).

          Audio and visual cues appear when the speed limit is exceeded. Combined with Manual Speed Limiter, ISLA can adjust the car speed automatically.1
