Jakarta, August 4, 2026 – Hyundai further strengthens its electrified MPV lineup in Indonesia with the launch of the New STARIA in Electric and Hybrid variants at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026. The New STARIA Electric delivers an electric driving experience in the premium MPV segment, powered by an electric motor producing a maximum output of 218 PS and maximum torque of 350 Nm, with a driving range of up to 544 km on a single charge based on NEDC testing. This capability is further complemented by Outdoor Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) with a 220V power outlet, allowing the New STARIA Electric to power various electronic devices outside the vehicle, a feature exclusively available on that variant trim.
Meanwhile, the New STARIA Hybrid delivers smart efficiency for both urban mobility and intercity travel, powered by a Smartstream Gasoline 1.6 Turbo Hybrid engine producing a maximum system output of 245 PS, maximum engine torque of 265 Nm, and maximum motor torque of 304 Nm. Hybrid performance information can be monitored directly through the New STARIA's head unit, giving drivers a real-time view of the vehicle's energy usage.

Forward Collision-avoidance Assist (FCA) warns the driver when the system detects a collision risk from the front, such as when a pedestrian crosses or another vehicle suddenly slows down or stops, and will automatically help perform emergency braking if the collision risk continues to increase. Meanwhile, Blind-spot View Monitor (BVM) displays the driver's blind spot condition on the cluster screen as soon as the turn signal is activated, helping drivers change lanes with greater confidence.
