Introduction of the
next generation
Corporate Lab
Through a tripartite partnership with NTU and A*STAR, HMGICS established Singapore’s industry-academia-government Corporate Lab in automotive manufacturing to strengthen SDF technology capabilities through continuous collaborative efforts in artificial intelligence and robotics. This involves building core manufacturing R&D technologies including machine intelligence, quality, logistics and maintenance to support autonomous manufacturing plant operations.
Production of the first made-in-Singapore EV
HMGICS proudly produces the first made-in-Singapore electric vehicle, the IONIQ 5, marking a significant milestone in Singapore’s advanced manufacturing journey. The smart factory also manufactures the Hyundai IONIQ 6 and Kia EV5, extending our role in delivering next-generation electric mobility.
