Launched in January 2023, the Hyundai IONIQ 5 marks a milestone as the first made-in-Singapore electric vehicle, produced at HMGICS.

The IONIQ 6 is Hyundai’s latest made-in-Singapore electric vehicle, produced at HMGICS following the IONIQ 5.
Built on the Group’s advanced E-GMP platform and manufactured using HMGICS’ intelligent cell-based production system powered by AI, Robotics and Digital Twin technologies, the IONIQ 6 showcases Singapore’s role in next-generation EV innovation.​

Produced at HMGICS, the Kia EV5 marks a key milestone for both Kia and our smart factory. The first Kia EV to roll off our production line, the EV5 combines everyday practicality with advanced EV performance.

IONIQ 5 Robotaxi​

The Hyundai IONIQ 5 Robotaxi represents the convergence of full electrification and Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Level 4 autonomous driving, built on the IONIQ 5. As a fully electric,
self-driving vehicle equipped with an advanced suite of cameras, radar and LiDAR sensors for 360-degree perception, it delivers a safe, human-centric mobility experience designed to navigate complex urban environments with precision and care. ​

Now deployed in Las Vegas, the IONIQ 5 Robotaxi showcases HMGICS’ intelligent, cell-based production capabilities and Singapore’s role in advancing next-generation autonomous and sustainable mobility solutions on the global stage.
