Our clubs.

Hyundai Motor expanded its portfolio of club football sponsorships ahead of the 2018/19 season by announcing four-year deals with Chelsea FC of the English Premier League and AS Roma of Serie A and three-year deals with Club Atlético de Madrid of La Liga and Hertha BSC of the Bundesliga, which complemented its ongoing relationship as shirt sponsor of Olympique Lyonnais of Ligue 1.

European activities.

As a brand, Hyundai has been building its presence in Europe for a number of years, with its headquarters in Frankfurt and additional presence through testing facilities, factories and motorsport.

Our partnerships extend our connection to football through a new programme of sponsorship at club level and will enable us to create exciting new opportunities for fans and customers throughout the season. By having our logo exposed on the jerseys of our partner clubs as well as in-stadia, awareness and recognition of the Hyundai brand will grow in both new and existing markets.

We look forward to working with all our clubs on a range of supporter-based initiatives over the course of the partnership which will look to drive increased engagement amongst fans and help them get closer to the game they love. As a brand, Hyundai always puts its customers first and in our 20-year history in football we have taken the same approach with fans.

Hyundai & Chelsea FC.

Chelsea Football Club is one of the world’s top football clubs. Its success and ambition perfectly match the global scale and challenging spirit of Hyundai. Chelsea was UEFA Champions League winners in 2012, following that success by lifting the UEFA Europa League trophy in 2013. Founded in 1905, Chelsea is London’s most central football club, based at the iconic 42,000-capacity Stamford Bridge stadium.

We announced our partnership with Chelsea FC by putting fans at the heart of a player photoshoot featuring Olivier Giroud, Tiemoué Bakayoko and David Luiz.

Hyundai & Club Atlético de Madrid.

Founded in 1903, Atlético de Madrid is one of the great clubs of Spanish and European football for its achievements, fanbase and competitiveness. Its drive for success and unlimited ambition perfectly matches the global scale and challenging spirit of Hyundai.

Our partnership with Atlético de Madrid was announced at Wanda Metropolitano, in the company of Club President Enrique Cerezo and General Director of Hyundai Spain, Leopoldo Satrústegui.

Hyundai & Hertha BSC.

Hertha BSC is over 125 years old and has a long and varied history as one of the oldest clubs in the German Bundesliga. As the largest club in Berlin, Hertha has approximately 35,000 members. Hertha BSC became German champions twice in consecutive years at the beginning of the 1930s. Its success and ambition perfectly matches the global scale and challenging spirit of Hyundai.

To celebrate our new partnership, we brought together some of Hertha’s most passionate fans to take part in a 5-a-side football match with a difference at the club’s Schenkendorfplatz training facility.

Hyundai & AS Roma.

AS Roma is one of the most acclaimed football clubs in Italy. Founded by a merger in 1927, Roma have participated in the top-tier of Italian football for all of their existence, as well as winning nine Coppa Italia titles and two Supercoppa Italiana titles.

To launch our partnership, a group of dedicated supporters were invited to AS Roma’s Trigoria training facility for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour. We then gave the fans the surprise of their lives when their interviews were interrupted by a selection of the club’s biggest stars.

Hyundai & Olympique Lyonnais.

In the French Ligue 1 football championship, partnerships between a brand and a club that have lasted for 6 years are rare, and often stop at mere visibility. If one had to explain in one sentence the longevity of the alliance between Hyundai Motor France and Olympique Lyonnais, it would be: "win-win".

During the 2017-18 season, as Premium Partner of Olympique Lyonnais, Hyundai developed a range of activations and experiences for fans. The Hyundai Experience showroom gave supporters a glimpse into the Hyundai Universe on the first floor of the official Olympique Lyonnais store, with WRC simulators, photo booths and more, while many fans also received exclusive Hyundai benefits including parking spaces, car sharing schemes and car washes.

A Matchday in Europe.

Depay, Džeko, Griezmann, Hazard and Kalou star in new Hyundai Motor film, ‘A Matchday in Europe’, celebrating the passion and dedication of football fans.
