Hyundai announces supply agreement with Bayer, targeting further fleet growth across Europe
Offenbach, 6th May 2011 Hyundai has signed a pan-European agreement with leading German pharmaceutical and chemical products supplier, Bayer, becoming one of the company’s preferred suppliers of fleet vehicles.
As part of the deal, Hyundai will help optimise Bayer’s company car portfolio of more than 8.000 units, through the provision of fleet services across Europe. Bayer and its affiliated companies maintain a presence throughout the continent, allowing Hyundai to potentially increase its fleet presence in strategically important markets.
Hyundai anticipates that the agreement with Bayer will bring significant additional ‘true fleet’ sales, with the products introduced under the Blue Drive
TM sub-brand likely to be particularly popular for Bayer’s company car users thanks to impressively low CO₂ emissions levels.
Allan Rushforth, Senior Vice President and COO of Hyundai Motor Europe, commented, “We’re extremely proud to enter into partnership with Bayer, a company that shares Hyundai’s passion for innovation, quality and industry leadership. Bayer has recognised the class-leading CO₂ emissions levels of our cars, most notably those equipped with Blue Drive technologies that make environmentally-friendly solutions accessible to the widest possible audience. We look forward to helping Bayer to reduce its fleet’s emissions and further improve its eco-credentials.”
Bayer will also be able to take advantage of Hyundai’s ground-breaking Five Year Triple Care, an assurance package that provides a five-year warranty with unlimited mileage; five years’ roadside assistance; and five years of vehicle health checks.
“Hyundai is committed to providing vehicles with highly competitive total cost of ownership, and Five Year Triple Care is a key element in making our cars extremely attractive propositions to fleet buyers across Europe,” Rushforth added.
