Hyundai Motor Reports November 2018 Global Sales Results

• Sales for November decreased by 4.2 percent year-over-year, total 403,381 units

SEOUL, Dec. 3, 2018 — Hyundai Motor Company today announced its global sales results for November 2018, recording a total of 403,381 units sold, down 4.2 percent from a year earlier.

Overseas sales dropped by 5 percent year-over-year, posting 339,250 units, due to faltering demand in China. Despite the challenging market environment, Hyundai Motor continued robust sales in Russia with the market-focused vehicles such as Solaris and Creta.

Sales in Korea increased by 0.4 percent compared with the previous year, resulting in 64,131 units sold. The company continued recording brisk sales of eco-friendly models such as Azera (also known as Grandeur) Hybrid, Sonata Hybrid and IONIQ Hybrid. The All-new Santa Fe maintained its position as the most popular SUV, posting 9,001 units sold during November.

Hyundai Motor expects to build new momentum by strengthening its SUV line-up. The All-new Santa Fe and the refreshed Tucson started to meet customers in the major market, and the company has recently unveiled its new flagship premium three-row Palisade SUV at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
