i30 Fastback N Hatch.

Sporty never looked so good.

Introducing the all-new i30 Fastback N.

Sporty never looked so good. We've taken everything you loved about the i30 N, refined its performance on the track and upgraded the body to an aerodynamic fastback silhouette.

Sporty accents.

Red stitching on the steering wheel, seats and highlights around the air vents enhance the sporty interior design.

Improved suspension.

The suspension has softened in the i30 N fastback to improve drive comfort while providing a lively performance on the track.

New body.

Every inch of this performance coupe has been made to make a lasting impression. From the sleek interior to the tear shaped cabin, sophistication is all around.

Reduced drag.

The new swooping silhouette increased the aerodynamics, with drag dropping from the hatch’s to 0.32 to 0.29 Cd

Larger boot.

Boasting 12% increased boot space to the hatch, this hot fastback has earned brownie points with the 436-litre capacity.

Form and Function.

The i30 N features a unique exterior design to cheat wind and win hearts - from the front headlamps distinguished by a black bezel, aggressive rear bumper and aerodynamic spoiler to unique 19” alloy wheels.

See how it works.

Forward Collision Warning (FCW).

Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB).

Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS).

Driver Attention Warning (DAW).

Forward Collision Warning (FCW).

When the car ahead is too close for comfort, the Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist utilises front radar sensors and the windshield mounted camera to detect the proximity. It can also pick up pedestrians and cyclists that are travelling in front and will automatically apply the vehicle’s brakes in the case of a potential collision.

Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB).

AEB works in conjunction with Forward Collision Warning (FCW) system to automatically apply the vehicle’s brakes in the case of a potential collision (where no driver intervention is detected after a FCW system warning).

AEB is active above speeds of approximately 10km/h, and will attempt to bring the vehicle to a complete stop (at speeds of under 64 km/h for pedestrians detection/ 80 km/h for vehicles detection). Between speeds of 80 – 180 km/h, when activated, AEB will slow down the vehicle in order to reduce the severity of the collision.

Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS).

A steering assist function that detects lane markings to monitor the vehicle’s position in the lane. Should the vehicle stray from the intended lane without activating the indicators, an audible and visual warning will be sounded and where required, will provide steering intervention to keep the vehicle in the centre of the lane.

Driver Attention Warning (DAW).

At speeds of 64km/h or above, Driver Attention Warning (DAW) uses the windshield mounted camera to continually monitor the vehicle’s position within the lane, whilst also tracking steering inputs, brake pedal inputs, as well as time since last break. Should the system detect careless driving (such as sudden steering/braking inputs and/or inability to keep within lane), the ‘Attention Level’ display on the cluster will continually decrease. Should the level decrease to a certain threshold, the DAA system will recommend that the driver take a break.

Powerful performance.

The i30 N was born in Namyang, Korea, at Hyundai's global R&D centre, then honed at the Nürburgring, nicknamed the Green Hell, arguably the most challenging race track in the world and home of Hyundai’s Testing Center. It was only through a punishing development program that took in nearly 500 laps at this unforgiving circuit, and around 10,000 kilometres of testing overall, that we could make a model truly worthy of being the first to wear the N badge.
