Hyundai Motor Company Australia has announced significant sporty upgrades to the sports-tuned variants of Australia’s reigning top-selling car.
Headline upgrades to the i30 Series II SR range include exclusive 17-inch, grey-metallic machined-face alloy wheels and red-on-black interior with leather-appointed sports bucket seats.
SR variants equipped with Hyundai’s six-speed automatic transmission now come standard with sporty paddle-shifters allowing drivers to select the sequential manual mode without taking their hands off the steering wheel, providing a more engaging driving experience.
EXTERIOR The i30 Series II SR range now comes standard with striking new 17-inch grey-metallic machined-face alloy wheels shod with 225-45R17 tyres. The new wheels are a unique, five twin-spoke design. Also available is the addition of a bold ‘Phoenix Orange’ exterior colour exclusive to the SR range.
INTERIOR The i30 Series II SR range now features an upgraded sports interior, with black leather upholstery, red inserts on seat bolsters, and red stitching on the seats, steering wheel, and front door armrests.
Front sports bucket seats with extended bolsters not only add to the visual impact, but also provide more lateral support for the driver and front passenger during spirited driving.
Dark grey-metallic interior trim highlights replace the previous silver trim highlights in all variants, and the headlining is now black (previously grey). A striking red push-button start surround trim replaces the previous silver trim surround.
Hyundai’s expansive panoramic glass sunroof is now available as an option on i30 SR but remains a standard feature on the SR Premium variant.
Further complementing the 2.0 GDi petrol engine and local sports suspension setup is the addition of paddle shifters on automatic variants.
i30 SERIES II A RECORD-BREAKER Like all i30 Series II variants, the top-spec SR and SR Premium already set industry benchmarks. Their value-for-money equipment levels and standard full suite of active and passive safety features are matched to the i30 Series II’s critically acclaimed Australian-tuned ride and handling dynamics.
Together with Hyundai’s industry-leading five-year/unlimited warranty and after-sales innovations, those attributes have this year helped i30 Series II become Australia’s best-selling car for a Hyundai record-breaking four consecutive months (March – June).
