Classic hot hatch recipe.

Every new chapter has a beginning. This is ours. The i30 N is Hyundai’s first true high-performance car, developed to debut the N division and redefine the way in which the world views our vehicles.

Winner of Sports Under $62,000 category.

“The Hyundai i30 N was able to fend off the competition for a repeat win – a respectable feat when you look at the quality of the finalists. Back-to-back wins in this segment reinforces the i30 N’s status as a serious contender...".

The i30 N features a specially developed 2.0-litre four cylinder powerplant featuring direct injection, variable valve timing and twin-scroll turbocharging to produce 202kW and 353Nm. An overboost function allows peak torque to rise 378Nm for brief full-throttle applications, delivering exhilarating performance.

An overboost function allows peak torque to rise 378Nm for brief full-throttle applications, delivering exhilarating performance.

Electronic controlled suspension.

A lower, firmer suspension tune combined with electronically controlled dampers that continuously adjust damping force (based on road conditions, vehicle speed and driver inputs) means the i30 N delivers exceptional turn-in characteristics and body control, without sacrificing the ride compliance needed for daily driving comfort.

Electro-mechanical Limited Slip Differential (e-LSD).

The electronically-controlled mechanical limited slip differential (e-LSD) distributes torque intelligently between the two front wheels depending on throttle inputs, steering angle and cornering force. Reducing wheelspin and understeer, whilst increasing traction and cornering speed, thus allowing the drive to extract maximum performance from the i30 N.

Active variable exhaust.

The twin-outlet active exhaust has three settings, allowing the driver to select the ideal level of exhaust sound for the conditions – keep it subdued around town or allow the engine’s full vocal range to be enjoyed when the open road or track+ beckons. In its most sporting setting, throttle lifts and downshifts bring a thrilling volley of rasping crackles and pops that have to be heard to be appreciated.

Automatic rev matching.

Enhancing the manual gearbox is automatic rev-matching, a function that automatically blips the throttle on downshifts, faithfully replicating the ‘heel and toe’ technique used by advanced drivers to deliver smooth downshifts where revs and road-speed are perfectly synchronised

High performance tyres.

The i30 N sports tailor-made Pirelli P-Zero HN tyres, engineered exclusively for the i30 N. These ultra-high performance summer tyres come straight from the flagship Pirelli factory in Turin, Italy.  And have been tuned for the unique technical requirements of the i30 N, making them the perfect fit.

Drive modes.

No matter the road or driving conditions, the i30 N has a mode to suit. Choose from five individual drive modes: Eco, Normal, Sport, N or N Custom settings, activated by two dedicated buttons on the steering wheel.

Track warranty.[H1]

We are so confident in the technology, materials and workmanship that go into every new Hyundai, that each passenger vehicle (including the i30 N) is backed by Australia’s first 5-year unlimited kilometer Warranty.

Form and function.

The i30 N features a unique exterior design to cheat wind and win hearts - from the front headlamps distinguished by a black bezel, aggressive rear bumper and aerodynamic spoiler to unique 19” alloy wheels.

Explore the range.

The inside line.

Inside, it’s unlike any other. The exclusive N sports interior is tailored to seduce and satisfy the enthusiast driver.

Hyundai by your side.

We’ve tried to make sure you find every stage along the path to owning an i30 N a thoroughly positive experience. From flexible financing and tailored insurance cover, to sat-nav map updates and fixed-price servicing, we’ll make available everything you could need to get the most out of your new car, now and way down the road.

Serious about safety.

Forward Collision Avoidance (FCA).

Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS).

Driver Attention Warning (DAW).

Forward Collision Avoidance (FCA).

When the car ahead is too close for comfort, the Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist utilises front radar sensors and the windshield mounted camera to detect the proximity. It can also pick up pedestrians and cyclists that are travelling in front and will automatically apply the vehicle’s brakes in the case of a potential collision.

Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS).

A steering assist function that detects lane markings to monitor the vehicle’s position in the lane. Should the vehicle stray from the intended lane without activating the indicators, an audible and visual warning will be sounded and where required, will provide steering intervention to keep the vehicle in the centre of the lane.

Driver Attention Warning (DAW).

At speeds of 64km/h or above, Driver Attention Warning (DAW) uses the windshield mounted camera to continually monitor the vehicle’s position within the lane, whilst also tracking steering inputs, brake pedal inputs, as well as time since last break. Should the system detect careless driving (such as sudden steering/braking inputs and/or inability to keep within lane), the ‘Attention Level’ display on the cluster will continually decrease. Should the level decrease to a certain threshold, the DAA system will recommend that the driver take a break.

Powerful performance.

The i30 N was born in Namyang, Korea, at Hyundai's global R&D centre, then honed at the Nürburgring, nicknamed the Green Hell, arguably the most challenging race track in the world and home of Hyundai’s Testing Center. It was only through a punishing development program that took in nearly 500 laps at this unforgiving circuit, and around 10,000 kilometres of testing overall, that we could make a model truly worthy of being the first to wear the N badge.
