$3,000 Victorian Government Subsidy now applies to Kona EV and IONIQ EV.

07 May, 2021

The Victorian Government’s new subsidy scheme for Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEVs) now makes Hyundai’s world-beating Electric Vehicles more affordable than ever.

Both the Kona Electric SUV and IONIQ EV hatch qualify for the government grant, which gives eligible Victorian customers a $3,000 discount on the purchase price of these advanced zero-emission vehicles.

The scheme is designed to encourage the uptake of EVs as part of the government’s plan to meet a target of net zero emissions by 2050.

Subsidies will be available in stages, with an initial 4,000 units qualifying for the grant. Further stages for the incentive scheme will be announced shortly.

We expect qualifying vehicles such as Kona and IONIQ to be snapped up quickly in Victoria as buyers take advantage of this discount, and we highly recommend you contact your local Hyundai dealer to order your vehicle promptly.
