Car Next Door’s comprehensive insurance covers you and borrowers. If a borrower is responsible for the car when damage occurs, the borrower will pay their damage cover liability (DCL) and Car Next Door’s insurance will cover the rest. You can also nominate up to 5 additional drivers for friends and family[H4].

Borrowers use a fuel card that’s connected to your car’s account and you’re reimbursed 25c for every kilometre travelled by borrowers. According to the NRMA, RACV and RACQ, this should be enough to cover fuel as well and other consumables like tyres.

Car Next Door supply you with a new toll tag that is connected to your Car Next Door account so borrowers pay for their tolls and you only pay for your tolls. Car Next Door track who is driving when the tolls are incurred.

Car Next Door has got your back. If you receive a fine that was incurred while your car was with a Borrower, just notify Car Next Door. Car Next Door will get you the info you need to transfer the fine to the borrower.

Car Next Door makes sure your car will always be in good hands. All Car Next Door’s borrowers have had their identity verified against their licence (and passport for non-Australian drivers) and Car Next Door runs comprehensive credit checks and reviews known driving history.

For vehicles that are available at least 5 days (120 hours) a week for borrowers to use, owners can typically expect an average monthly income of between $200-800 before running costs. Small cars like the Hyundai i30 in inner city areas typically average about $270, SUVs like the Tucson average around $530 per month, and vans like the iLoad average around $810 per month!
